Lola's Day Off to Headline the 2016 Stompin' on the Quomps Festival
Lola's Day Off: Moyses Dos Santos/bass, James Gardiner-Bateman/saxes, Carl Hudson/keyboards, Pete Ray Biggin/drums
In 2015, four exceptionally gifted musicians with a range of talent and limitless energy stormed the nation with a sonic cocktail of fusion, rhythm & blues, hip-hop, jazz and deep funk grooves. The band, Lola’s Day Off, features Pete Ray Biggin (drums), Moyses Dos Santos (bass), Carl Hudson (keyboards) and James Gardiner-Bateman (saxes).
Collectively, they have performed and toured with mega-acts that have included Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, Whitney Houston, Chaka Kahn, Level 42, Joss Stone, Robbie Williams, Professor Green, Adele and Culture Club, to name a few.
Lola’s Day Off packs a wicked punch, filled with a wealth of musicality, love and energy to get your heart pounding, your hands clapping, your body moving and your feet stompin’!
The band will be joined on the day by a very special guest vocalist, Georgia van Etten.
Stompin’ on the Quomps is an all day outdoor festival of live soft jazz music on Saturday, 6th August. It takes place in Christchurch Quay, Dorset, BH23 1BY, and is free of charge.
